Something a Little Simple that Could Save You Money & My Weekend!

So I had a wonderful weekend, went to see a play on campus with my boss, was treated to breakfast by a friend, and spent some time talking to my wonderful boyfriend. So if your out and eating a meal, the most simplest and easiest way to save money is to ask for water instead of soda or tea. Water is generally free at most places, and it takes almost two dollars off your bill! However if you must get your tea or soda or coffee, make sure to ask for a free refill and when your ready to go ask for a to go cup! So you have a drink to take with you. Also, if your out and about and are really thirsty, I would suggest bringing a bottle of water with you or a bottle of whatever you drink. You can get a really nice reusable water bottle for around 5 dollars at most stores and you can carry it around with you to keep you from buying a bunch of drinks. I would also suggest packing snacks so you don't go and buy them while your doing what your doing. Alot of people tend to buy food snacks to eat while shopping.

Have a Great Day!

If you want to save money, I would suggest taking a notebook or calender and marking down how much you spend  each day. I do this to help me remember how much I have spent during that month. It also makes you accountable for what you spend. I have a cutesy little recipe calender that I use, it also has frugal recipes to help  give me some ideas of recipes to try! It was also a free calender I got from Kraft for signing up for their newsletters.

Or you could print one and use it!

An Amazing Thursday!

Today, I decided to relax and let everything just be mellow. I took a nap, and watched some tv. I ate dinner at my dorm and watched tv using the tv connection the dorm provides. They give us all basic cable, I have about 60-something channels and so usually there is something to watch. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Trying a new recipe!

10/9/13

So yesterday I decided to try a new recipe called 5 ingredient, 5 minute soup. I accidentally grabbed the wrong can of tomato stuff and grabbed tomato paste instead of canned tomatoes so I ended up with a tomato soup like soup with black beans, but rather tasty still! I had some for dinner that night, lunch today, and will be having some more for dinner tonight and maybe lunch tomorrow.

Here is the Recipe:

2 cans black beans
1 can tomatoes ( I used tomato paste)
1 can or 15 oz. chicken broth
Hot Sauce
Water (1 Can)

Drain the tomatoes and black beans, and mash one of the cans of black beans. Mix all ingredients together and heat 5 minutes either on the stove or in the microwave.

Yay for Yummy Soup!

I have not been on in a long time, it just so happened that my server at school does not happen to like my google account and blog. So since coming home, I have gotten my mother on a coupon and stockpiling kick. We have begun to stock pile and it is great. I also now have my room to myself which is great, sharing before was awful seeing as I am almost 21 years old.

A Very Very Cold Tuesday!

Hello Readers!

Today is is 13 F and very very cold! I only had two classes so I did what any college student would do, I ran back to my room after my classes and made some tea with some for lunch. It is just way too cold, I can't believe they still want to have class. Today, for being frugal I am working on my first stuffed animal, a version of stewie griffin from family guy. I also started a knitted blanket that I am hoping to finish soon. I also will stay in the dorm and eat some leftover salad and some heated ravioli so I can stay warm.

Snow Day!!

Today at school it decided to snow and since I was done for the day by 2 pm. I jumped on the public transportation back home and decided to work on some knitting for the time being. I really like knitting and hope to figure out how to use a straight loom so I can make flat scarfs. Yarn is surprisingly inexpensive and it does not take long to make a hat or scarf. If your like me and cannot knit, I would suggest buying a loom set, your local walmart should have it for around 14 dollars and you can knit hats on it. I knit them for Christmas gifts and for me and have recently thought about knitting some to sell. Well if I get around to it I will post a pic of the straight loom and what I am working on currently.
